WDG Farm announced on the 3rd that its subsidiary WDG E&C has signed a smart farm sales agency agreement with Japan's JFE Engineering. Under this agreement, WDG E&C will supply design and core materials, while JFE Engineering will be responsible for greenhouse material sales in the Japanese market.
JFE Engineering is a comprehensive engineering corporation that deals with waste power generation plants, water treatment plants, natural gas-related plants, and renewable energy power generation plants, focusing on the environment and energy sectors. It expanded into the smart farm market in 2013. Notably, it also serves as the official dealer for the Dutch environmental control system company Priva in Japan.
WDG Farm anticipated that it could approach its goal of 300 billion won in sales by 2027 due to the entry of WDG E&C into the Japanese market. It also predicted a greater share of overseas market revenue as the sales from its Laotian corporation are reflected.
WDG Farm also plans to secure references spanning local governments, educational institutions, and private farms through this contract and provide customized design packages and operational consulting tailored to land and climate conditions.
An official from WDG Farm said, "The sales agency agreement with JFE Engineering has integrated the design and material supply system with the sales system in Japan," and noted, "Starting with success stories in Japan, we will gradually expand into global markets."
