On the 1st, Samil PwC announced that PwC Consulting has launched the 'AI Trust Center' to provide comprehensive services enabling corporations to establish a rapid regulatory response system ahead of the implementation of the 'Basic Law on AI Development and Building Trust' (hereinafter referred to as the AI Basic Law) next year.
PwC Consulting plans to provide comprehensive services related to AI, including establishing a compliance system for the AI Basic Law that must be followed when introducing or developing AI, as well as data, information technology (IT) governance, which forms the foundation of AI competitiveness.
The center is made up of a group of experts in AI development, data, compliance, IT, and security. They have been building compliance systems for the AI Basic Law across various industries, including public, finance, telecommunications, and technology, over the past three years. They are also working on establishing policies and processes that comply with the AI Basic Law, taking into account industry-specific regulations and the level of AI technology adoption, and supporting corporations in obtaining ISO/IEC 42001 certification, which certifies their AI governance level.
Through this launch, the center aims to bolster its group of AI security experts and provide response system services within three months, depending on the regulatory response level of corporations. Additionally, the center will provide AI data governance services to establish organizations and systems including data policies geared toward converting data into a format that AI can understand, as well as IT governance services to develop AI quickly and reliably.
Furthermore, the center plans to expand partnerships with AI tech companies, solutions firms, and law firms, and conduct forums and information sessions in conjunction with domestic external organizations.
Kim Jin-yu, a partner at PwC Consulting, noted, "Due to delays in the implementation decree and other specific guidelines, many corporations have not yet established their response systems," and added, "The center will provide a system that enables corporations to rapidly innovate AI while responding to regulations in a stable manner."
