EY Hanyoung noted that it has recently brought in Jeong Eun-young, the former president who led HSBC Korea, as a management advisory committee member.
Vice Chair Jeong Eun-young of the management advisory committee graduated from Sogang University with a bachelor's degree in business administration and earned her master's degree in business administration from Yonsei University. She began her financial career at Korea Development Bank in 1989 and has gained international finance experience at local subsidiaries in Zurich and Hong Kong, as well as at BankBoston in the United States and Commonwealth Bank in Australia.
After that, Vice Chair Jeong joined HSBC Korea in 2005, serving as Executive Vice President of Corporate Finance, overseeing financial institutions, and representing corporate finance. She became the first Korean to be appointed president of HSBC Korea in 2017, serving as CEO for eight years.
Based on her experience as a bridge supporting the global expansion of corporations and financial institutions in Korea through the global platform of HSBC, Vice Chair Jeong plans to support the sustainable growth and cooperation of corporations and financial institutions at EY Hanyoung.
Park Yong-geun, CEO of EY Hanyoung, said, "Vice Chair Jeong's international experience and financial expertise, along with her strong trust relationship with domestic corporations, will greatly help enhance customer service sophistication and strengthen strategic advisory capabilities."
