BC Card announced on the 1st that it has launched a 'working group' for mutual cooperation and synergy enhancement with Woori Card.
This consultative body is a strategic measure to build a practical and complementary partnership between the two companies amid a rapidly changing financial environment. Woori Card is beginning to establish system independence and digital capability in-house by transitioning the processing work that has been delegated to BC Card for the past 40 years.
The newly launched working group is discussing key tasks such as supporting the independent processing transition, collaborating on products and services, and cooperating on AI and digital new businesses. In particular, it is strengthening cooperation on AI-based new businesses while solidifying a future-oriented collaboration system.
BC Card plans to discover new business models and pursue joint growth through this working group based on the experience and know-how accumulated by performing processing tasks for 46 customer companies. Kim Ho-jung, executive director of BC Card, noted, "The collaboration and trust between the two companies are increasingly important to secure Woori Card's solid competitiveness," and added, "This working group will serve as a strong foundation for joint growth."
