Hanwha Investment & Securities has appointed Jang Byeong-ho, vice president of Hanwha Life, as the new CEO. The term is for two years until the end of 2027.
On the 1st, Hanwha Investment & Securities held an extraordinary general meeting and announced that it approved the agenda for the appointment of Jang Byeong-ho as an inside director as originally proposed.
Born in 1967, the new CEO Jang Byeong-ho joined Hanwha Investment & Securities in 1995 and has worked within the Hanwha Group for over 30 years. After serving as the head of the overseas business team and the infrastructure finance team at Hanwha Investment & Securities, he has held positions as the head of the Financial HRC team, and as an executive in charge of the People & Culture team, Management Support team, and Financial Vision Unit at Hanwha Life since 2020.
A representative of Hanwha Investment & Securities noted, "The new CEO Jang is expected to contribute to the organization's response to change and strengthen business execution through his global experience and strategic vision," adding that "there will also be positive outcomes in the digital and new business sectors."
