Korea Investment Securities noted on the 25th that it will exclusively sell the "Korea Investment Goldman Sachs (Goldman Sachs) U.S. Tech Fund." This is a public offering fund jointly launched by Korea Investment Securities and the global investment management firm Goldman Sachs Asset Management.
This fund is an overseas equity fund that allocates more than 60% of its assets to selected U.S. technology stocks. The fundamental equity team at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, which manages approximately $100 billion (about 140 trillion won) in assets, will take charge of the sub-management.
The portfolio will be compressed into 30 to 40 technology stocks centered around six key themes: ▲ semiconductors and hardware ▲ digital innovation ▲ cloud computing ▲ cybersecurity ▲ fintech ▲ online consumption. It aims for a balanced allocation that encompasses mature corporations that flexibly adapt to technological change and high-growth innovative corporations.
The investment environment for technology stocks could become more favorable if global interest rates trend downward in the future.
Park Jae-hyun, head of the personal customer group at Korea Investment Securities, said it is "a product that allows direct benefits from the structural growth of global tech corporations."
This fund is scheduled to be established on the 28th of this month. Both won and foreign currency (USD) subscriptions are available, and investors can also choose whether to hedge against currency risks when investing in won. Detailed information regarding the product can be checked through Korea Investment Securities branches and customer service nationwide.
