Korea Securities Finance Corporation announced on the 22nd that it supported the construction of a self-reliance center for vocational training for local youths in Mongolia. The center plans to provide Korean language education and tailored vocational training for children and teenagers from low-income families.
The Dream Sharing Foundation, under Korea Securities Finance Corporation, held a completion ceremony for the "Hope Dream" self-reliance center in Ulan Bator, Mongolia, on the 21st. Korea Securities Finance Corporation had previously sponsored 150 million won for the construction of the center through Holt Children's Welfare Foundation.
The Dream Sharing Foundation is a public corporation established in 2013 with grants from Korea Securities Finance Corporation. The foundation has continued social contribution activities, including social welfare projects and scholarship initiatives, and has supported the social and economic self-reliance of marginalized communities through its flagship program, "Hope Dream."
The self-reliance center established in Chingeltei is a facility for vocational education and operation of self-reliance workshops. The center aims to enhance the self-reliance capabilities of children and teenagers from low-income families living in Chingeltei by providing Korean language education and tailored vocational training.
Chingeltei is a poor area located in Ulan Bator, the capital of Mongolia. The Dream Sharing Foundation established a connection in 2019 by installing and supporting a child care center, library, and two playroom gers within the Holt Dream Center.
Kim Jeong-gak, chairman of the board of Korea Securities Finance Corporation, said at the completion ceremony, "I hope that youths preparing for self-reliance can receive Korean language and various vocational training in a safe and comfortable environment, and discover their individual aptitudes and abilities to confidently become independent members of society."
