Animal health company Woogene B&G announced on the 21st that the registration for the Mexican product approval of its pig epidemic diarrhea (PED) vaccine 'PED-M' has been completed.
Woogene B&G plans to expand into the Central and South American markets, including Mexico, following exports to Thailand. The size of the animal health market in Mexico was estimated at $1.65 billion (approximately 2.3 trillion won) last year and is expected to grow at an average annual rate of 8.4%, reaching $2.7 billion (approximately 3.7 trillion won) by 2030.
The IMMUNIS PED-M from Woogene B&G is also expected to secure approval in Vietnam within this year, following its registration in Mexico. A representative from Woogene B&G noted, 'By securing product approvals in both Thailand and Mexico, our global sales network has expanded,' adding, 'We expect to achieve over 10 billion won in export performance by the second half of the year through additional country approvals including Vietnam.'
