Viva Republica, which operates Toss, announced on the 14th that its consolidated operating revenue for the first half of this year jumped 35% year-on-year to 1.2355 trillion won.
Operating profit was 154.6 billion won, and consolidated net profit for the period was recorded at 105.7 billion won. The consumer services sector, which includes remittances, brokerage, advertising, easy payment, commerce, securities, tax, and certification services, generated 802.1 billion won, accounting for 64.9% of consolidated revenue for the first half.
Revenue from the merchant services sector, which includes electronic payment gateway (PG) and offline payment terminals, was 433.3 billion won, representing 35.1% of consolidated revenue for the first half. Toss explained that the increase in revenue across the platform and the improvement in profitability of key business sectors are linked to the steady growth of net profit.
A Toss official said, "The increase in service usage based on 30 million subscribers and the strengthened profitability of core business sectors led to improved performance."
