Korea Financial Group announced on the 11th that it has been newly included in the global environmental, social, and governance (ESG) investment index 'FTSE4Good.' This index is operated by FTSE Russell, which was jointly established by the Financial Times of the United Kingdom and the London Stock Exchange. Based on over 300 detailed indicators, it comprehensively evaluates the ESG management levels of corporations worldwide and serves as a key criterion for institutional investors in their investment decisions.
Korea Financial noted, "We received high scores exceeding the industry average in all ESG institutional sectors," adding, "Particularly, we received excellent evaluations in areas such as human rights, communities, labor, and tax transparency."
Yim Jong-ryong, chairman of Korea Financial Group, said, "This inclusion in the FTSE4Good index is a valuable achievement of our entire staff's efforts to internalize ESG management," and added, "We will continue to actively practice ESG management and strive to become a comprehensive financial group that is trusted more by the international community."
