Toss announced on the 6th that its total number of registered users surpassed 30 million at the end of July. This means that 6 out of 10 citizens have had experience with Toss.
According to Toss, the enrollment rate by age was notably high among the 2030 generation, who typically begin their financial activities. Based on the resident registration population statistics from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety in July, the enrollment rate for those in their 20s was approximately 95% (5.54 million), and for those in their 30s, it was around 87% (5.8 million), resulting in an overall enrollment rate for the 2030 generation exceeding 91%.
It has been confirmed that among the economically active population of working age (15 to 64 years old), approximately 76%, or 26.74 million, have registered with Toss. Toss currently offers a variety of financial services integrated within a single app, including remittances, payments, investments, banking, credit checks, authentication, taxation, loans, and insurance brokerage. Users can proceed with multiple financial activities in one seamless flow without the need for separate institution visits or complicated procedures.
Through user-centric financial experience design, Toss has enhanced accessibility and convenience in financial services with innovations such as simple remittances without a certified certificate, 1 won authentication, free credit score checks, loan comparison services, fraud suspicion notifications, and a guaranteed compensation system. Going forward, Toss plans to further solidify its vision of becoming 'a daily super app beyond finance.' Toss is accelerating its strategy execution by building the 'App in Toss' ecosystem to consolidate various partners' everyday services within the Toss app.
A Toss official noted, 'Surpassing 30 million registered users is a strong indicator that can support our future vision' and added, 'We will continue to innovate and raise the standards of user experience to repay the trust we have received.'
