Toss announced on the 25th that it would launch the '365 Annual Overseas Travel Insurance' product in partnership with Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance Direct.
This product is a dedicated offering available only through the Toss platform, which automatically applies insurance benefits each time the user travels abroad for a year with just one annual subscription. It is practical for users who frequently travel abroad, as there is no need to subscribe each time. The coverage period for each trip is up to 31 days, and even if the return schedule is after the coverage period ends, protection can be granted until the 31st based on the departure date.
A woman in her 30s who subscribes to the 'Toss Exclusive Plan' can receive coverage for injuries and illnesses that may occur abroad up to 30 million won, and for damage or theft of personal belongings up to 1 million won for an insurance premium of around 30,000 won. Additionally, it broadly covers situations frequently encountered during travel, such as flight and baggage delays, as well as expenses for reissuing a lost passport.
The 'Toss Exclusive Plan' differentiates itself from Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance Direct's offerings in terms of insurance premiums and coverage amounts. Even if the coverage items are the same, the coverage amounts may differ based on the design, and the entire process from subscription to coverage details can be easily completed through the Toss app.
A 10% discount is offered when two or more people subscribe together, and if subscribed through the Toss app, 10% of the insurance premium can be returned as Toss points.
A Toss official noted, 'In the first half of this year, the number of international passengers increased by 7.4% compared to the previous year, setting a record high,' and added, 'As overseas travel has become routine, we prepared an annual automatic coverage product to reduce the hassle of subscribing to insurance before every departure.'
