NongHyup Bank President Kang Tae-young visited Asan, Chungcheongnam-do, which suffered significant damage from heavy rainfall on the 19th, to assess the damage and discuss recovery support measures, he said on the 20th.
The Asan area in Chungcheongnam-do recorded a total rainfall of 373mm over two days from the 16th to the 17th, leading to significant damage, including the flooding of 570 hectares of rice cultivation area and the total loss of 60 livestock facilities.
President Kang Tae-young visited the sites of damage on the same day, including agricultural machinery repair and sales companies, NongHyup Agricultural Cooperative in Asan, Yeomchi NongHyup, and flooded farmland, to assess the situation and listen to their difficulties.
He also delivered relief supplies and discussed various support measures, including financial assistance for recovery.
President Kang Tae-young expressed his condolences to farmers and local residents who suffered significant damage due to the unexpected flooding, stating, "NongHyup Bank will actively implement company-wide support efforts and practical financial assistance for recovery."
