Daesung Fine Tec, a corporation specializing in automotive parts and smart energy solutions, announced on 17th that it will commercialize a solar smart power generation system integrated with artificial intelligence (AI). This move is seen as a step toward officially transitioning its business portfolio towards energy new business, ahead of a merger with the information and communications technology (ICT) themed park corporation MONOLITH.
Daesung Fine Tec plans to apply an AI-based smart power generation system to the 9.81 Park site under development near Incheon International Airport and 9.81 Park in Jeju. The system focuses on integrated management based on AI technology, including power generation prediction, optimization of generation efficiency, fault diagnosis, and stabilization of the power grid.
This project will be pursued in collaboration with MONOLITH, the company expected to merge with Daesung Fine Tec. MONOLITH has been operating the 9.81 Park based on its ICT infrastructure and content development capabilities. Daesung Fine Tec is expected to complete the merger procedure with MONOLITH by the 26th of next month. The company aims to accelerate its transformation into an AI smart energy solution corporation linked to automotive parts-based mold manufacturing, themed park content, and renewable energy technology through this merger.
Daesung Fine Tec has already been producing renewable energy products such as solar water heaters and industrial solar power generation equipment. The company noted, "Through the integration of this AI technology, we expect to achieve predictive maintenance and maximize efficiency in equipment operations, as well as reduce maintenance expenses."
