NH Investment & Securities announced on the 14th that President Yoon Byung-woon participated in the 'Population Issue Awareness Relay Campaign' organized by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea Human Resource Development Institute for Health & Welfare (KOHI).
The campaign was established to raise social awareness of the population decline and aging issues that Korea faces and to lay a foundation for cooperation between the public and private sectors to solve these problems. Since October of last year, various public and private organizations have been participating in a relay format, and on the 1st, Seo Yoo-seok, chairman of the Korea Financial Investment Association, named President Yoon as the next participant.
NH Investment & Securities explained that based on empathy for the social task of resolving population issues, it is actively working to promote a family-friendly corporate culture in relation to childbirth and childcare.
In 2017, NH Investment & Securities became the first domestic securities firm to open an in-house daycare center. The daycare center can accommodate about 40 children of employees aged 1 to 5 and is located in Yeouido, Seoul.
In addition, it is implementing various family-friendly systems, including ▲ PC-OFF system ▲ Moms' Lounge operation ▲ family counseling programs ▲ child education support ▲ family medical expense support. Male employees can also use paid leave for up to 20 business days (4 weeks total) when their spouse gives birth, applying it as a preemptive measure before legislation. The ratio of NH Investment & Securities employees who returned to work after parental leave in the last three years is reported to be 96%.
Furthermore, NH Investment & Securities has also implemented measures such as ▲ raising childbirth subsidies ▲ extending the salary period for parental and infertility leave.
President Yoon Byung-woon said, "Population issues are a significant national task that everyone must solve together, so I hope this campaign highlights its importance once again," adding, "NH Investment & Securities will continue to make various efforts to resolve population issues in the future."
