Samsung Active Asset Management noted on the 11th that the initial setting amount of the 'KoAct K Export Core Corporations TOP30 Active Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF),' which was listed on the 8th, sold out within two days.
Samsung Active Asset Management explained that the initial listing amount of the KoAct K Export Core Corporations TOP30 Active ETF was 10 billion won, and it was fully sold out on the second day after listing. During the two days post-listing, individual investors net purchased 5.6 billion won, while institutional investors net purchased 11.6 billion won. On the third day after listing, which was the 10th, cumulative net purchases by individuals reached 7.1 billion won, and institutional net purchases reached 26.4 billion won through additional settings.
The KoAct K Export Core Corporations TOP30 Active ETF is the first domestic ETF to invest based on import and export data. It aims to invest proactively in corporations that see significant growth in exports by utilizing year-on-year increase indicators of monthly import and export data, which are calculated at the beginning of each month.
This is a domestic stock product that invests in key sectors of Korea's exports, including defense, beauty, food, content, and K-pop, and it can also be invested in through pension accounts.
Samsung Active Asset Management has structured the product to allow investment in stocks that show quick improvements in exports by selecting sectors and stocks based on export data and adding social media trends.
The KoAct K Export Core Corporations TOP30 Active ETF is focused on a portfolio that includes ▲Hanwha Aerospace ▲Samyang Foods ▲APR ▲HD Hyundai Electric, and also invests in ▲HYBE ▲SILICON2.
Seo Beom-jin, head of the ETF Solutions Division at Samsung Active Asset Management, explained, "The demand from investors looking for ETFs that align with the new government's policies and forecasts for the second half of the year surged from the first day of listing, which I believe led to the rapid depletion of the initial setting amount."
