Bank Salad revealed the popular cards for the summer vacation season after analyzing card issuance data on the 8th.
According to the analysis of card issuance data from Bank Salad for the second quarter of this year, the card with the highest issuance in the mileage card category was 'Samsung Card & Mileage (& MILEAGE PLATINUM).' Samsung Card & Mileage is a representative card specialized in airline mileage, allowing up to 2 miles to be accumulated for every 1,000 won spent, and provides airline-related benefits such as two free uses of the Incheon Airport Matina Lounge and free valet parking at Incheon Airport.
The issuance of cards related to travel keywords also increased. In the second quarter of this year, the issuance of 'Hyundai Card MM' and 'NH Nonghyup Card zgm. Japan Travel' increased by approximately 148% and 250%, respectively, compared to the same period last year.
Recently, Bank Salad launched the 'Card Benefits Received This Month' service to enhance card benefit services. The service analyzes users' existing cards to find those with travel-related benefits when it detects expenditures related to airline tickets or accommodations, providing guidance on how to use the benefits and recommending cards with additional benefits.
Additionally, Bank Salad offers a feature that allows users to filter various card benefits. Among the mileage-accumulating cards, users can view only those that include vacation or travel-related benefits, such as ▲ free airport lounge access ▲ hotels and accommodations ▲ travel and airlines ▲ duty-free shops ▲ overseas payments, and by using the 'Find a Card That Matches Your Spending Habits' service, they can receive recommendations for credit and debit cards calculated down to the last won based on their spending patterns.
Consumers aiming to maximize their benefits through detailed card filtering services are increasing. In July of this year, the proportion of selecting travel-related filters such as mileage and airlines from Bank Salad's card filters more than doubled compared to the same period last year.
