AIA Life Insurance announced on the 4th that it has appointed Fisher Zhang as its chairman of the board and non-executive director and confirmed the reappointment of CEO Nathan Chuang.
The reappointment of the CEO was confirmed at the shareholders' meeting held today at the AIA Tower in Jung-gu, Seoul. CEO Nathan Chuang will lead AIA Life Insurance for the next three years starting today. Fisher Zhang's appointment as chairman of the board became effective on the 9th of last month.
Since 2022, CEO Nathan Chuang has led the growth of AIA Life Insurance through enhanced multichannel sales and a differentiated customer-centric strategy. During Chuang's tenure, AIA Life Insurance established its subsidiary independent insurance agency, AIA Premier Partners, strengthened its life and health insurance product portfolio, and expanded digital services for customers, agents, and telemarketing channels, driving innovation.
After being appointed as the Regional Chief Executive of AIA Group overseeing the markets in Korea, China, and Vietnam, Fisher Zhang also took on the role of chairman of the board and non-executive director of AIA Life Insurance Korea.
He has served as CEO of AIA Life Insurance's China subsidiary since 2017, and since November of last year, he has been active as the Regional Chief Executive of AIA Group and a member of the Group Executive Committee. Having joined AIA Group in 2000, he has held various key positions within AIA Life Insurance's China subsidiary, including Chief Distribution Officer, Chief Agency Officer, and Chief Marketing Officer.
