Korea Investment Holdings subsidiary Korea Investment Securities noted on the 3rd that it held the '7th Research Challenge' awards ceremony. The Research Challenge is a competition for university students hosted by Korea Investment Securities to discover and support aspiring analysts with talent and passion at an early stage.
A total of 129 university students applied for this competition and competed. Among them, 14 reports were selected through document screening and evaluations by senior analysts, and 7 individuals who obtained high scores in the presentations were honored with the final awards.
The grand prize was awarded to Park Seung-chang, a student at Seoul National University. Park analyzed the outlook and strategy for the U.S. stock market in the second half of 2025 through the report titled 'Surviving in the Chaotic U.S. Stock Market Due to Tariffs.' All awardees, including the grand prize winner, received a trophy along with a cash prize.
The 7 final prize winners will be given an opportunity to participate in an internship linked to hiring at Korea Investment Securities. The internship will take place in August, and those who achieve excellent results may be hired after passing a final interview. Among the 8 award winners from the 2024 competition, 2 are currently working at the research headquarters of Korea Investment Securities.
