KB Kookmin Bank conducted an organizational restructuring on the 2nd. The establishment of the "Inclusive Finance Department" and the newly created "Golden Life Department" to enhance services for senior customers are notable features. Additionally, the bank focused on reorganizing the corporations customer group and enhancing its internal control functions.
The Inclusive Finance Department is responsible for the development of tailored products and services for financially marginalized groups, strengthening protections for financially vulnerable populations, and fulfilling social responsibilities such as revitalizing the local economy. The goal is to reinforce substantial support for marginalized financial groups and improve access to finance for vulnerable populations. The existing ESG Win-Win Finance Department will change its name to "ESG Business Division" and focus on establishing and managing ESG strategies.
The Golden Life Department will oversee the establishment of senior business strategies, the development of tailored product and service packages, the operation of KB Golden Life Centers, and the phased implementation of a "comprehensive platform exclusively for senior customers," aiming to provide specialized services focused on retirement and asset management.
Kookmin Bank also established a Personal Customer Analysis Department. This is to provide differentiated financial services based on accurate analysis of individual customer characteristics. The corporations customer group has expanded its authority to develop and manage relevant deposit products independently.
Furthermore, to strengthen internal controls over information security tasks, the Information Security Headquarters was transferred under the compliance officer. This is intended to establish a proactive response system in line with the recent trend of strengthening personal data protection. By unifying the compliance and information security systems, the efficiency of internal control operations will be enhanced, strengthening the organic linkage between internal controls and information security tasks.
