KDB Life announced on the 1st that it has launched the '(No) KDB Life Fit Health Insurance' which covers health risks throughout the customer's lifetime.
'(No) KDB Life Fit Health Insurance' reflects the trend of increasing chronic diseases due to the rise in severe disease incidence and aging, significantly expanding the coverage compared to existing insurance products that could only cover specific illnesses like cancer, dementia, and long-term care, allowing for flexible subscription design.
In particular, it features comprehensive coverage that includes living expenses and caregiving support after the occurrence of specific diseases, starting from the three major diseases: cancer, brain diseases, and heart diseases, enabling a customized integrated coverage design for each individual.
The main contract is a non-reciprocal type divided into standard and simplified screening types, each into standard-type and non-refund-type III. In the non-refund type III, there is no refund of premiums if the contract is terminated during the premium payment period, and if it is terminated after the premium payment period, it is paid less than the standard refund amount, but can be subscribed at a lower premium than the standard type. The age of subscription is from 15 to a maximum of 80 years, the payment periods are selectable from 5, 7, 10, 15, 20, 25, to 30 years, and the insurance period can be chosen from expiry at 80, 90, or 100 years.
The simplified screening type can be subscribed to even if there are chronic diseases or a past medical history, provided that there is a definitive diagnosis of a disease, suspicion of a disease, hospitalization, surgery, or the need for additional tests within the last three months, or if there was no hospitalization or surgery due to diseases or accidents within the last 2-5 years. It also includes those not diagnosed, hospitalized, or operated for cancer, angina, myocardial infarction, stroke, cirrhosis, chronic kidney disease under dialysis, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or Parkinson's disease within the last five years.
This product allows for integration with KDB Care Service, enabling a comprehensive management of the customer's health asset. Customers who subscribe can use a total of 7 services through 'KDB Care Service,' which consists of 'basic services' for health management and 'specialized services' focused on health recovery, including hospital and health check-up reservations, caregiver support, nurse accompaniment, and home helper services.
