Korea Investment & Securities noted on the 30th that the 'Korea Investment Global Strategic Multi-Income Fund' has paid its first distribution since its establishment.
This fund, launched solely by Korea Investment & Securities last April, incorporates 50% of the fund from global investment management firm Goldman Sachs Asset Management, with the remaining assets strategically adjusted based on market conditions in a multi-income fund. Currently, it is diversified with 60% high-yield bonds, 20% investment-grade credit, and 20% equity assets.
The Korea Investment Global Strategic Multi-Income Fund issues dividends on a monthly basis based on interest revenue and capital gains. Since its establishment, it has recorded an accumulated return of approximately 2.5% in foreign currency assets (U.S. dollars) over about two months, and as of the 27th, it provided a profit of about 5.3% annually (before tax) as the first dividend.
Korea Investment & Securities explained, "The Korea Investment Global Strategic Multi-Income Fund is employing a defensive management strategy in consideration of the possibility of economic slowdown and the limited upside potential of the stock market," adding, "It aims to pursue stable income revenue while flexibly responding to market volatility."
