Korea Investment Securities analyzed on the 30th that Crowdworks is transitioning from an agentic data labeling corporation to an artificial intelligence (AI) corporation.
Crowdworks recorded 1.9 billion won in revenue and 2.8 billion won in operating losses in the 1st quarter. However, despite struggles in existing businesses, the AI solution segment has shown growth, leading to a 390.4% increase compared to the previous year.
Researcher Park Jeong-in of Korea Investment Securities noted, "The mid- to long-term core driving force is the AI solution 'Alpy' launched in February," adding, "Alpy is a one-stop agentic AI solution that supports the entire process from data preprocessing to agent development and security management."
Agentic AI refers to AI that can independently set goals and establish and implement plans. Recently, as corporations increase their demand to utilize multiple AI models together instead of a single model, Alpy has gained attention as a solution that can manage this integration.
Crowdworks is focusing on market leadership and strengthening marketing centered around Alpy. This year, the target revenue for Alpy is set at 3.65 billion won, with contracts worth 550 million won currently under negotiation.
Government policies are also driving the strength of stock prices. During this presidential election, candidates have made nurturing the AI industry a key promise, causing stock prices to surge 186.8% compared to early April. However, after the announcement of a paid-in capital increase at the end of May and following the presidential election in June, stock prices have shown fluctuations.
Researcher Park analyzed, "Following the new government's inauguration, effective measures are being implemented, including an AI infrastructure investment plan worth 1 trillion won and the establishment of a senior planning position for AI," adding, "The practical benefits for AI corporations are increasing."
He continued, "However, given the mixed concerns of paid-in capital issues and policy expectations, one should be cautious of short-term fluctuations in stock prices."
