The Export-Import Bank of Korea announced on the 26th that it held the opening ceremony of the IT Center on the 25th.
The bank began operations simultaneously with the final transfer during the Memorial Day holiday this month and completed the establishment of its independent IT Center. The IT Center consists of a three-story computer building and a four-story office building above ground and one basement level, covering a total area of 9,877 square meters.
The bank replaced major servers, storage, and networks with the latest models during the construction of the IT Center. Through system software upgrades and the configuration of power and communication redundancy, it significantly enhanced safety, scalability, and availability, securing a foundation for uninterrupted and obstacle-free operations.
In addition, it introduced real-time performance and failure AI monitoring, as well as a cloud-based infrastructure platform. According to the bank, this will enable more efficient operation of IT resources and proactive detection and prevention of potential failures.
During the opening ceremony, President Yoon Hee-sung stated, "The IT Center will serve as a forward base that opens the digital future of the bank for the next 50 years as a key foundation for the bank's digital transformation," and emphasized, "We will actively utilize new technologies such as generative AI to accelerate the bank's digital transformation."
