MERITZ Securities announced on the 25th that it has decided to establish a partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS), the world's largest cloud corporation, to develop a next-generation artificial intelligence (AI) financial platform.
Under this business agreement, MERITZ Securities and AWS plan to expand exchanges of technology, infrastructure, personnel, and expertise, and jointly develop customer-centric innovative services. In particular, MERITZ Securities has also outlined a vision to provide an "innovative hyper-personalization" experience by integrating AWS's cloud technology and AI services into the next-generation platform it is building.
MERITZ Securities established the "Inno Biz Center" earlier this year with the goal of transforming into a future-oriented financial firm and has recruited over 40 IT and finance experts who have worked at companies such as Naver, Kakao, and Toss to embark on the development of the next-generation platform.
Lee Jang-wook, head of MERITZ Securities' Inno Biz Center, said, "This collaboration will be a turning point for MERITZ Securities to leap into an AI-based future-oriented securities firm," adding, "We will continue to collaborate with global technology corporations to lead customer-centric innovative financial services."
