According to the Korea Exchange, as of 9:18 a.m., Samsung Securities is trading at 78,200 won, up 2,400 won (3.17%) from the previous trading day. Early in the trading session, Samsung Securities rose to 70,900 won, setting a new high for the year.
At the same time, SK Securities is also trading at 694 won, an increase of 12 won (1.76%) compared to the previous trading day. SK Securities also hit 705 won, marking the highest price in the past year. Additionally, NH Investment & Securities, Korea Investment Holdings, DAISHIN SECURITIES 2nd preferred stock, and others have also set new highs in the past year.
With the KOSPI surpassing the 3,100 mark, securities stocks have been continuously setting new records recently. Securities stocks reflect favorable conditions when the stock market shows strength. As the index rises and investor sentiment improves, transaction volumes increase, leading to heightened expectations for performance improvements.
Kang Seung-gun, a researcher at KB Securities, noted, "As expectations grow for institutional improvements in the capital market, such as the promotion of the Company Act amendment and the strengthening of disclosure obligations for holding treasury shares, investment funds will flow in and transactions will become more active."
