Korea Investment & Securities noted on the 4th that it has expanded the introduction of the fractional investment feature in the 'Korea Investment' mobile trading system (MTS) app for U.S. stocks.
Fractional investment is a service that allows investment in high-priced foreign stocks in increments of 1,000 won rather than whole shares. It has the advantage of reduced financial burden and ease of diversifying investments across various stocks.
Korea Investment & Securities has been providing fractional trading services for U.S. stocks through a separate app called 'Mini Stock,' but with this update, MTS users can also access the same fractional investment feature.
Meanwhile, Korea Investment & Securities also provides content to support investments in U.S. stocks. The company reported that the Goldman Sachs report service offered to domestic investors surpassed 100,000 views just 10 business days after its launch on the 7th of last month.
