The Korea Private School Employee Pension Service (Korea Education Pension) announced on the 30th that it received the top grade of "excellent" for the fourth consecutive year in the "2024 fiscal year fund management evaluation" conducted by the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
The fund management evaluation is an assessment conducted by the Ministry of Economy and Finance to review the performance of the fund's asset management and the appropriateness of its management system, with evaluation grades categorized into six levels from "excellent" to "very poor."
The Korea Education Pension noted, "Among the 27 funds evaluated, only 2 institutions received the excellent grade," and added, "We are the only fund among those with an average balance of more than 1 trillion won to receive the excellent grade."
The Korea Education Pension, established in 1974, oversees the pensions of faculty members working in private schools and operates under the Ministry of Education. The assets managed by the Korea Education Pension surpassed 27 trillion won by the end of last year.
