CBI announced on the 29th that it has officially begun restructuring new businesses centered on future industries.
Through the resolution of the extraordinary general meeting of shareholders held on April 23rd, CBI has added dozens of new business purposes, including artificial intelligence (AI), game development and publishing, blockchain, and content platforms, and has initiated a comprehensive structural transformation, including plans to change its corporate name.
As part of these changes, CBI disclosed that on the 28th of this month, it made a strategic investment of 4 billion won in the game corporation Newcube Games.
This is not just a financial investment, but, according to CBI, a move to secure new growth momentum.
Newcube Games, in which CBI invested, is a next-generation game company with experience in publishing intellectual property (IP) based games such as 'Million Arthur.' It is reported to have recently completed user testing for the casual player versus player (PvP) strategy game 'Petpetgo' and is preparing for a global release.
