The Korea Exchange noted on the 26th that it held a meeting with the representatives of member companies in the first half of this year. The event will continue until the 27th.
On that day, the meeting of member company representatives was held at the Hanwha Financial Center in Yeouido, Seoul, with representatives from 23 member companies in attendance. The meeting scheduled for the next day will have 25 member companies participating.
The exchange has been holding regular meetings annually to share key issues in the capital market and ensure smooth communication with member companies.
At this event, major issues related to the securities market, derivatives market, and clearing settlement were discussed. The exchange explained that there was extensive communication regarding various issues related to the capital market and the attendees' on-site difficulties.
Jung Eun-bo, chairman of the exchange, said, "The exchange has continued various efforts to create a trusted capital market, including expanding the value-up program for corporations and establishing a central short selling monitoring system (NSDS)," and added, "We will promote close communication and cooperation with member companies on major issues in the capital market, such as the establishment of a nighttime market for derivatives."
