The pharmaceutical and medical device specialist METACARE announced on the 16th that it recorded sales of 6 billion won and an operating profit of 530 million won in the first quarter of 2025. Compared to the same period a year ago, sales increased by 23% and operating profit rose by 47%.
A representative from METACARE noted, "The growth of the general hospital market, which is our main customer base, has expanded the supply performance of pharmaceuticals and medical devices," adding, "Sales to pharmacies have also stabilized, positively impacting our results."
METACARE stated that it plans to continuously expand its supply business of specialty pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and medical consumables. The company has already expanded its supply targets from general hospitals and quasi-general hospitals to pharmacies. In the future, it aims to build a nationwide sales network for pharmacies to broaden its market base. The company also plans to strengthen its medical device supply business through partnerships with medical consulting corporations.
Isu-jin, the CEO of METACARE, stated, "We are currently pursuing collaboration with the largest specialized medical consulting corporation for hair loss in the country," adding, "By supplying medical devices in the hair loss field, we aim to create synergy with our existing business and secure long-term growth momentum."
