Viva Republica, which operates the financial service "Toss," announced on the 15th that its consolidated operating profit for the first quarter of this year reached 70.9 billion won, marking a return to profitability compared to the same period last year.
Consolidated revenue for the first quarter was 567.9 billion won, representing a 29.1% increase compared to the same period last year. The consolidated net income was 48.9 billion won, indicating a return to profit. Toss explained that its major affiliates experienced balanced growth. Toss Securities recorded a revenue of 156.9 billion won, bolstered by growth in overseas stock brokerage, while Toss Income achieved a revenue of 8.9 billion won based on approximately 8 million users.
Viva Republica reported a revenue of 157.3 billion won for the first quarter, a 34.6% increase compared to the same period last year. The operating profit was 5.1 billion won, and the net income reached 52.4 billion won. Toss achieved its first annual profit last year, recording a consolidated operating profit of 90.7 billion won.
A Toss official noted, "Balanced growth and improvements in revenue structure across all business areas have led to good results," adding, "We will continue to pursue sustainable growth through strengthening core business competitiveness and efficient operations."
