According to the financial sector on the 3rd, Shinhan Bank has decided to close two branches near the Constitutional Court, including the Hyundai Gye-dong branch and the Hyundai Gye-dong corporate finance center, on the 4th. Employees from these branches will be reassigned to work at nearby Gwanggyo branch due to concerns about safety accidents as crowds supporting both sides of the impeachment converge near the court.
NH Nonghyup Bank will not operate the "Jongno Financial Center" branch near the Constitutional Court. Woori Bank will temporarily close the "Anguk Station branch." Woori Bank plans to set up an alternative branch at the nearby Jongno YMCA branch to minimize customer inconvenience.
Hana Bank will also halt operations at the "Anguk-dong branch" and the "Gye-dong branch." Hana Bank has also designated the 19th floor of its Euljiro headquarters and the Jongno Financial Center branch as alternative branches to guide customers. KB Kookmin Bank has designated 12 branches in the Yeouido and Gwanghwamun areas, expected to see a large influx of crowds, as "safety management targets" and has inspected the operation status of fire extinguishers, emergency bells, and closed-circuit television (CCTV).
Meanwhile, SC First Bank, headquartered near Jonggak Station in Seoul, is encouraging remote work and vacation for employees excluding essential personnel.
The police have blocked access by outsiders within a radius of 150 meters of the Constitutional Court, creating a "vacuum state." The restricted area has been expanded from the previous 100-meter radius.
