The Korea Exchange appointed a new Deputy Minister of the securities market department as part of its regular general meeting of shareholders on the 31st.

The exchange held its regular general shareholders' meeting that afternoon at its office in Yeouido, Seoul, and approved the personnel appointment. Deputy Minister Jung's term will run from April 1 to March 31, 2028.

Deputy Minister Jung, born in 1969, graduated from Korea University with a degree in business administration. In 2015, he completed a master's program in finance at Michigan State University in the United States. At the exchange, he has held various positions including head of the securities market marketing division, stock market manager, deputy minister, and head of the overseas business division in the management support headquarters.
