Woori Financial said on the 30th that it will operate donation boxes at automated teller machine (ATM) corners nationwide so that items can be donated conveniently anytime, 365 days a year.

Woori Financial Group's Woori Financial Future Foundation installed a donation box called 'Goodwill Donation Box' at the Woori Bank Sogong-dong branch to build an employment ecosystem for people with disabilities and expand the culture of donation. Woori Financial plans to expand the operation of donation boxes to branches across the country, including 20 Woori Bank branches in Seoul.

The donated items will be sold at 'Goodwill Store,' which supports the independence of people with disabilities. The revenue from sales will be used as salaries for people with developmental disabilities working at the Goodwill Store.

The donation box is equipped with a donation application form and envelopes to conveniently donate items. Donors can fill out the donation application form and place it in the box along with the items, and after verification by the Goodwill Store, a donation receipt will be issued, which can also provide tax credit benefits during year-end tax settlements. Donors can also conveniently donate a large amount of items using the 'Goodwill Store Item Donation' service newly created in the Woori WON banking platform.

Yim Jong-ryong, chairman of Woori Financial, noted, 'We are striving to fulfill our social responsibility for all' and added, 'I hope the donation boxes placed in spaces where daily financial transactions occur can serve as a catalyst for the independence of people with disabilities and the expansion of the donation culture.'
