Recently, Samil PwC and Samjong KPMG donated funds to support disaster recovery and victims in the regions of Gyeongbuk, Gyeongnam, and Ulsan, designated as special disaster areas due to forest fires.
According to the accounting industry on the 27th, Samil PwC, PwC Consulting, and the Samil Future Foundation donated 150 million won to the National Disaster Relief Association for forest fire recovery. This fund is expected to be used for emergency relief for victims in the affected areas, aiding in their return to daily life and forest restoration.
Yoon Hoon-soo, CEO of Samil PwC, said, “I extend my deepest condolences to the victims affected by the sudden forest fire,” and noted, “I hope this donation will help in the recovery from the forest fire damage.”
Samjong KPMG also donated 100 million won to the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association for disaster recovery and support for victims. This donation will be used for providing daily necessities to residents of the affected areas, operating shelters, and stabilizing housing, and it will also be allocated for emergency relief activities including urgent medical services.
Kim Gyo-tae, chairman of Samjong KPMG, said, “I extend my deepest condolences to the residents suffering from the forest fire damage and wish for the safety of everyone working hard in the relief efforts,” and expressed hope that “local residents quickly regain their daily lives.”
