Singapore's private real estate investment company SC Capital Partners announced on the 27th that it has completed raising $900 million for the Asia-Pacific Opportunistic Real Estate Fund VI, 'Real Estate Capital Partners VI L.P.,' and related institutions.
The fund focuses on growth-oriented and opportunistic investments in advanced markets in the Asia-Pacific region, utilizing SC Capital Partners' own developed operational expertise platform for thematic investment strategies in core sectors such as technology and hospitality.
The RECAP VI fund has already committed over 70% of the raised investment, with 44% allocated to Japan, particularly in the hotel and tourism industry and the data center sector.
The RECAP VI fund investment includes the acquisition of a portfolio of 27 hotels in Japan managed by Japan Hotel REIT Advisors, a subsidiary of SC Capital Partners that holds the largest equity stake and specializes in hotel asset management and operations.
Additionally, the fund is developing a data center campus in Osaka, Japan, and a hyperscale data center in Bucheon, South Korea, in collaboration with its own data center operation platform, SC Zeus Data Centers.
