KB Kookmin Bank announced on the 24th that it has opened the 'real-name identification deposit and withdrawal account' service for customers using the virtual asset business operator Bithumb.
A real-name account is an account that allows financial transactions only between the accounts of virtual asset business operators established at the same financial institution and the customer accounts of the virtual asset business operator.
Kookmin Bank will act as a bridge connecting the exchange and users by providing real-name account services to Bithumb customers in accordance with its partnership with Bithumb. With the opening of this service, Bithumb customers will be able to conduct won deposit and withdrawal transactions only through Kookmin Bank accounts.
To assist Bithumb customers in easily opening accounts, Kookmin Bank has established a separate path for account creation linked to KB Star Banking through the Bithumb app. A dedicated account opening window for KB Kookmin Bank has been set up at the Bithumb Lounge in Gangnam.
