Woori Financial Group announced on the 11th that it held a 'Group Women Leaders Networking Day' at its headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul, on the 10th, coinciding with International Women's Day (March 8).
The networking event was organized under the theme 'Cooperation and sustainable growth through mutual communication' to promote a culture that respects diversity within the organization and to strengthen management strategies in line with global ESG standards. Yim Jong-ryong, chairman of Woori Financial Group, and more than 60 women leaders from group affiliates attended the event.
Chairman Yim said, 'The challenges and growth of women leaders lead to the organization's competitiveness,' and noted, 'We will continue to provide unwavering support so that women leaders can play a more proactive role.'
