Yang Jong-hee, chairman of KB Financial Group, attended the world's largest mobile exhibition, 'Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025,' held in Barcelona, Spain, to discuss collaboration plans with domestic telecommunications companies.

KB Financial announced that Chairman Yang visited the MWC venue on the 5th (local time) and toured the booths of SK Telecom, KT, and LG Uplus. Chairman Yang met with Kim Young-seop, representative of KT, to discuss ways to create synergy between finance and telecommunications while learning about each carrier's latest technologies and services.

The KB Financial delegation, including Chairman Yang, visited global leading corporations such as Samsung Electronics, IBM, Microsoft, and Google to gain insights for establishing digital business strategies. During the meeting with IBM, they had an in-depth discussion with Senior Vice President Mohamad Ali about work automation agents utilizing generative AI and explored ways to enhance work efficiency and performance.

A KB Financial official noted, "Through this MWC25 participation, we are confirming the possibilities of integrating the latest telecommunications technology with financial services," adding, "KB Financial will continue to actively pursue collaboration with telecommunications and IT corporations to provide customers with differentiated financial experiences."
