The Sagewood Country Club, operated by Mirae Asset Group, announced on the 12th that it has been implementing a reservation cancellation policy due to fine dust since Jan. 23 this year.
This policy allows customers to cancel their reservations without a cancellation fee if the fine dust or ultra-fine dust level is rated as 'bad' or 'emergency reduction measures' on the day of the reservation.
The notice on the website states that cancellations can be made up to one day before the reservation date. However, the golf course explained, "Cancellations are also possible on the day if the fine dust level is poor." The fine dust concentration is measured in real-time using a meter placed on-site.
Sagewood Country Club is located in Hongcheon, Gangwon Province, and Yeosu Gyeongdo, Jeollanam-do. Sagewood Hongcheon is situated in a comfortable and eco-friendly area at an altitude of 765 meters. Sagewood Country Club Yeosu Gyeongdo is the nation's first public golf course with an island golf course design. Mirae Asset Group plans to invest 1 trillion won to build a resort hotel, golf villas, a water park, a marina, and commercial facilities by 2029.
Mirae Asset noted that Sagewood Country Club actively encourages no-caddy rounds (self-cart) to provide customers with diverse options. The tee interval is 9 minutes in Hongcheon and 8 minutes in Yeosu Gyeongdo. Card payment for caddy fees, mobile check-in and check-out, and other services are also available.
