Domestic private equity fund (PEF) management firm STIC Investments noted on the 10th that it will appoint Shin Do-cheol, former representative of SK REIT, as co-CEO of its subsidiary STIC Alternative Asset Management. Shin joined STIC Investments as head of the institutional sector on the 1st.
Shin worked at Korea Telecom (formerly SK Telecom) starting in 1997 until 2008 in the finance, strategy planning, and planning coordination departments. In 2009, he moved to SK's finance department, where he was responsible for establishing joint funds with global strategic partners of SK Group.
Since 2017, he has been responsible for securing joint investment partners for SK Group's overseas investments. He helped several overseas investments by SK Group, including Vietnam's Masan and Vingroup. In 2020, he was in charge of establishing and planning SK Group's REIT, and from 2021 to 2024, he served as the representative of SK REIT.
STIC Investments appointed former Samsung Securities Channel Sales Division head Sa Jae-hoon as a management commissioner. Commissioner Sa joined Samsung Securities in 1998 and held positions including head of the wholesale division, head of the asset management (WM) division, and head of the retail division before overseeing the company's operations as head of channel sales.
