The anxiety over the 'Trump 2.0' era, which seemed unpredictable, is easing. This is because President Donald Trump is revealing the contours of the direction the U.S. economy and industry will take by announcing a series of massive policies shortly after his inauguration.

The area of focus is undoubtedly the artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure industry. President Trump has immediately rescinded the AI industry regulatory executive order put forth by former President Joe Biden and declared a national energy emergency, while also announcing the gigantic AI infrastructure project called 'Stargate.' This clearly indicates that the policy capabilities of the Trump administration will concentrate on this field in its early stage.

Not only in the U.S. stock market but also in the domestic stock market, related stocks have soared. Stocks of Oracle and ARM, associated with Stargate, as well as the tech giants designated as technology partners, NVIDIA and Microsoft, have risen. In our stock market, LS ELECTRIC drew attention.

As a huge business project is underway, it is advisable to look for investment ideas in related areas.

Hwang Soo-wook from MERITZ Securities Research Institute noted that expanding ideas from AI semiconductors to data center construction, power infrastructure, energy, and networks indicates that 'Constellation Energy, NuScale Power, Broadcom, and Arista Networks are promising, and GE Vernova, Marvell, Vertiv, Vistra, Oracle, and ARM should also be noted in the same context.' He also recommended Corning, which produces materials necessary for optical cables and fiber optics.

In an era where AI, referred to as the 'electricity-guzzling hippo,' leads the industry, the most essential infrastructure is power. Establishing sufficient power infrastructure has become a prerequisite for the opening of future high-tech industries.

Woo Ji-yeon from DS Investment Securities Research Institute advised that the Stargate effect is still not fully highlighted, indicating the need to pay attention to it. The LNG industry, based on nuclear and carbon capture and storage (CCS) technology, is competing for dominance in the power sources for AI data centers, which is worth noting.

Shinhan Investment Corp. identified Doosan Enerbility as the top stock in the nuclear and natural gas sectors.

Coincidentally, our government has also announced measures to support AI infrastructure. The plan is to establish a public-private joint 'National AI Computing Center' worth up to 2 trillion won. Initially, NVIDIA's GPU (graphics processing unit) will be used, but there are plans to expand the use of domestic AI semiconductors.
