Kim Hak-kyun, the representative of Korea Securities Research Institute, and Song Eun-gang were selected as the final candidates for the next president of the Korea Venture Capital Association (VC Association).
According to the venture capital (VC) industry on the 24th, the VC Association's Presidential Recommendation Committee (Recommendation Committee) announced that they would recommend Kim Hak-kyun, the representative of Quantum Ventures Korea, and Song Eun-gang, the representative of Capstone Partners, as the final two candidates for the 16th president.
The recommendation committee held a presentation of the four candidates who registered as preliminary candidates, followed by a vote from all committee members. It is reported that Kim and Song received the highest votes among the two candidates on that day.
The VC Association plans to conduct a vote to select the final candidate on the board of directors meeting scheduled for the 7th of next month. This is the first time for the VC Association presidential election. The VC Association will subsequently hold its '2025 regular general meeting' on the 25th to select the 16th president.
