Ripple has reclaimed its position as the third cryptocurrency by market capitalization, surpassing $2.5. The leading cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, continued its downward trend.

As of 8 a.m. on the 13th, Ripple is trading at $2.5 on the global coin market tracking site CoinMarketCap, down 1.83% from 24 hours ago. This marks the first time Ripple has surpassed $2.5 since Dec. 18. Ripple rose 9% the previous day, reaching $2.6.

This is attributed to an increase in investors adopting the stablecoin issued by Ripple (a coin with no price fluctuation). Some cryptocurrency experts forecast that Ripple's price could reach $4.5.

Bitcoin, the top cryptocurrency by market capitalization, has recorded $93,889, up 0.74% from 24 hours ago, while Ethereum, the second-largest by market cap, is priced at $3,242, down 1.31%.
