Shinhan Financial Group announced on the 12th that it held the '2025 Shinhan Management Forum.'
The management forum was held over a span of two days from the 9th, attended by approximately 250 participants, including Chairman Jin Ok-dong, the group's chief executive officers (CEOs), executives, and Deputy Ministers, at Shinhan Bank's Blue Campus in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province.
At the management forum, lectures and discussions were conducted on the virtues that leaders should possess, centered around the group's new year's management slogan 'customer-centric first-class Shinhan Humanitas and Communitas.'
Shinhan Financial invited Kim Jin-sik from the Jeongam Academy, who translated Cicero's 'On Duties,' as a speaker for this management forum.
Participants freely chose to attend external lectures on the three conditions of an honest organization: 'purpose,' 'truth,' and 'justice,' and then created and presented team proposals to establish such a culture within the group, followed by a discussion.
After the lectures and discussions, Chairman Jin held a town hall meeting to exchange opinions freely with the attendees of the forum.
Chairman Jin noted, 'Goals indicate what we should do, while purposes inform us why we should do it,' adding, 'If all members empathize with the 'purpose,' we will become closer to first-class Shinhan.'
He also emphasized, 'A leader's true influence comes from respect, and to be respected, the process must be legitimate, and one must live a life worth listening to.'
A Shinhan Financial official stated, 'Unlike previous forums that presented specific measures for achieving financial goals, this management forum was a meaningful time for in-depth discussions on the values pursued by Shinhan Financial Group, aiming for first-class rather than simply leading, and for leaders to make a commitment to create a common understanding.'
