Shares of Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix fell during trading on the 7th. Jensen Huang, chief executive officer (CEO) of NVIDIA, unveiled next-generation products at the world's largest electronics and IT exhibition 'CES 2025' and noted that they are equipped with memory semiconductors from Micron Technology, leading to a growing number of disappointed investors.

Samsung Electronics' stock was traded at 55,800 won on the KOSPI market at 1:40 p.m. on the 7th. The stock price dropped 0.18% (100 won) compared to the previous day. After rising to 57,300 won during trading, it reversed and turned to decline.

SK Hynix's stock price also fell by 1.1% (2,200 won) to 197,600 won compared to the previous day. It surged to 206,500 won in early trading, briefly returning to the '200,000 Hynix' mark, but could not maintain the upward momentum.

CEO Huang's announcement became a turning point. During a keynote speech at CES 2025 on the 6th (local time), CEO Huang revealed the GeForce RTX 50 series featuring NVIDIA's latest artificial intelligence (AI) accelerator 'Blackwell', and noted that it is equipped with Micron's GDDR7 memory.

Following CEO Huang's announcement, Micron's stock surged in after-hours transactions. Toyota Motor Corporation in Japan has also announced a partnership with NVIDIA to develop next-generation electric vehicles, leading to an upward trend in its stock price.
