Park Sang-won, former deputy governor of the Financial Supervisory Service, has been appointed as the 5th director of the Financial Security Institute.
The Financial Security Institute held a general assembly on the 31st of last month and announced on the 2nd that it had appointed Director Park.
Director Park, born in 1970, graduated from Yonsei University with a degree in economics, joined the Bank of Korea in 1991, and moved to the FSS in 2000, where he held positions including head of the Financial Group Supervision Department, head of the Bank Risk Management Department, deputy governor for planning and management, and deputy governor for small and medium-sized enterprise and low-income financial services. Director Park's term begins today and lasts for three years.
