Samsung Active Asset Management held an extraordinary board meeting on Feb. 2 and appointed Hajiwon, former vice president of Samsung Asset Management, as the new CEO.
Born in 1971, the new CEO, Ha, graduated from Seoul National University and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of California, Berkeley. He served as head of the financial examination team, head of the strategic investment division, and head of the asset PF management team at Samsung Life Insurance and joined Samsung Asset Management in 2022, where he worked as head of the strategic investment division, head of the asset management division, and head of the ETF division.
Samsung Active Asset Management noted that the new CEO, Ha, is a financial expert with extensive experience in strategic investment, special accounts, asset management, and the ETF business, and they expect him to further solidify the company's position as a domestic leader in discretionary management and successfully lead the leap of the KoAct active ETF.
