Jung Jin-wan, the president of Woori Bank, noted that "true internal controls" must be established to build trust.
On the 31st, at the inauguration ceremony held at the Woori Bank headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul, Jung presented three core management policies: trust, customer-centricity, and innovation.
Jung promised to strengthen internal controls by saying, "We will reduce unnecessary tasks for employees and improve the systems and work processes so that they can have time and mindset to engage with customers."
He also said, "Coexistence with customers is the reason for the bank’s existence" and emphasized that "we must think more customer-centric, especially in difficult times."
Additionally, he conveyed, "We will boldly change the performance evaluation method from relative to absolute evaluation to avoid excessive competition and pursue the mutual growth of the organization and its employees."
